“Rifugio Cupido,” is a comfortable 420 sq. ft. studio apartment located on the second floor of the “chapel”. In the rear there is a 215 sq. ft. awning covered terrace that offers guests privacy. As the name Cupid, the Roman god of love, implies the apartment is a romantic refuge for those in love. There is easy access to the pool, park and other facilities to include the fitness room, grotto, bocce court, and outdoor kitchen with its large gas grill. In warmer weather the air conditioning system will ensure guests stay cool.
Living and sleeping
The apartment offers 275 sq. ft. of living space, with the European equivalent of a king-sized bed, a large antique wardrobe with a built-in safe, a sitting area with sofa as well as relaxing living area that includes a television, dining table and two antique chairs that provide a wonderful view of the ancient oak trees and their branches through the large window. In the two niches on either side of the bed are sculptures of Venus, the Roman goddess of love, and Michelangelo’s David. From the balcony in front guests can take in the amazing panorama that overlooks the infinity pool below and captures amazing views of the harbor below, the cape and the Aeolian Islands on the horizon.
Kitchen
In the fully equipped kitchen, decorated in an antique country style, you’ll find everything you need to prepare a wonderful Mediterranean meal. The dishwasher and refrigerator are finished in motifs of the surrounding Sicilian culture. From the kitchen area there is direct access to the back terrace.
Bathroom
The bathroom is also decorated with an antique flair. The shower is comfortably sized, and below the sink you’ll find an antique cabinet in which towels and other necessary items can be found. You’ll find the shower spacious and comfortable.
The VILLA SICULA invites you and your guests to enjoy its varied facilities and amenities as well as the many other activities and attractions available on this diverse island. Within a short drive are the most beautiful and varying beaches, the center and shopping district of Capo d’Orlando as well as other sight worthy towns and villages.
