Deux semaines seulement apr\u00e8s son arriv\u00e9e, il a formul\u00e9 la phrase remarquable suivante le vendredi 13 avril 1787:<br><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"block core-paragraph \">\n<p>\u201eItalien ohne Sizilien macht gar kein Bild in der Seele: hier ist erst der Schl\u00fcssel zu allem.\u201c<br>\u00ab&nbsp;On ne peut se faire aucune id\u00e9e de l\u2019Italie sans la Sicile.
